The Edgewood String Quartet will be performing at Story on the Square in McDonough to benefit local music programs.

Those interested in supporting high school music programs can attend a benefit concert performed by the Edgewood String Quartet. Proceeds raised at the event will fund the Union Grove High School Orchestras programs. Attendees will receive appetizers and alcoholic beverages while watching the quartet perform. The group will play several modern hits at the show from artists such as Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, and The Beatles.

The Edgewood String Quartet is a group founded in 2020 during the pandemic to provide safe, socially distanced performances to the community. The members of the quartet include Adelaide Federici, Alice Hong, Josiah Coe, and Joyce Yang. The group has performed at many noteworthy venues, like the Zuckerman Museum of Art, Magnolia Hall, and the Trolley Barn. People can support the musicians financially to help them create new concert series and albums.

The benefit concert for Union Grove High School will take place on Friday, November 4 from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Tickets to the quartet’s performance will cost $50 per person. Only adults aged 21 and up may attend the concert due to its alcohol service. Those who hold charitable shows similar to this may use printing services to make signs that advertise their concerts to the community.
